Getting started

What GraphRanks is and how to run your first audit.

What GraphRanks does

GraphRanks reads the content that already ranks for a topic and builds a knowledge graph from it: the concepts that define the topic and how they connect. Instead of a keyword checklist, you get a map of the ideas your content is expected to cover to compete.

The graph is built deterministically from the language on the page (a co-occurrence graph), so the same input always produces the same graph.

How an audit starts

Every audit begins with a keyword: GraphRanks fetches the top-ranking pages for it (in the market you choose) and builds a combined graph from them, so you see what a topic requires to compete.

To find your gaps against those pages, add your own page as a comparison — a compare_url or pasted compare_text. It's folded into the same graph as coverage, turning “the top 20 connect these concepts” into “the top 20 do, your page doesn't.”

What a run gives you

A run's answer is a ranked gap list, not a single number. Each gap is a connection an independent source asserts that a target lacks, grouped by quadrant — opportunity (nobody covers it), catch-up (the top 20 cover it, you don't), strength, and covered — and sorted so the highest-value gaps sit at the top.

What a run costs

Running an audit uses one check from your plan. Reading, exploring, and sharing a graph you already ran is free. You can see your remaining quota on the Usage tab of your account.
